- Purchase the MANCAP form and apply, with a laboratory test report (SON lab or an IPAN-accredited lab).
- CAC certificate; on-the-spot/lab test report; MANCAP form & payment

- Factory inspection and product testing
- Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON)
- SON technical officers inspect production processes and test product samples for conformity to the relevant Nigerian Industrial Standard (minimum two quarterly inspections).

- SON Product Certification Directorate
- State offices compile inspection/test reports for the Product Certification Directorate; on approval, the MANCAP certificate is issued (valid 3 years) and the MANCAP logo is applied to the smallest unit pack.
